Historical Perspectives on the Langley Landscape, 1824-1920

An article written for Duke University’s journal Historia Nova.

This piece explores the way that the traditional Coast Salish territory of Langley, British Columbia, Canada was profoundly altered by colonisation. A particular focus is given to subjective and cultural understandings of landscape and how the environment shapes human lifeways.
